Terms of Service
Terms for using boringBar on macOS.
Last updated: March 29, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your download, purchase, activation, and use of boringBar, a macOS application provided by BORINGBAR LLC.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, activating, purchasing, or using boringBar, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you use boringBar on behalf of a company, team, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use boringBar. You are responsible for making sure your use of the app is lawful where you live and work.
3. Trial and License Scope
boringBar may be offered with a 14-day free trial. After any trial period ends, continued use may require a valid paid license.
Subject to these Terms and your order details, BORINGBAR LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use boringBar on compatible macOS devices for your personal or internal business use.
- Personal licenses are for individual use and are sold per device, subject to the seat limits shown on the website or at checkout.
- Business licenses are for internal organizational use and are sold per user as shown at checkout.
- Your license is a right to use the software, not a transfer of ownership in the software itself.
4. Payment, Billing, and Paddle
Paddle acts as merchant of record for boringBar purchases. That means Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, tax collection where applicable, and the order record for your transaction.
Prices, currencies, taxes, billing intervals, renewal terms, and cancellation options are shown at checkout and form part of your purchase. Your order is recurring, and it will renew under the renewal terms presented at checkout unless canceled in accordance with those terms.
Your purchase may also be subject to Paddle's terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/terms. For payment-processing, billing, tax, or checkout administration matters handled by Paddle, Paddle's applicable terms and checkout rules will control to the extent required for that transaction.
All sales are final. BORINGBAR LLC does not offer refunds after a purchase has been completed. We encourage you to use the 14-day free trial to evaluate boringBar before purchasing. If applicable law in your jurisdiction requires a refund right that cannot be waived, that right applies to the extent required.
5. Restrictions on Use
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit boringBar except as expressly allowed by these Terms;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
- circumvent licensing, activation, seat limits, or technical protection measures;
- remove copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
6. Updates, Online Features, and Support
boringBar may receive updates, fixes, improvements, or feature changes. Some functionality, including activation, license management, update delivery, or account-related features, may require an internet connection to BORINGBAR LLC's servers.
7. Third-Party Platforms and Services
boringBar runs on macOS and may interact with Apple-provided frameworks, operating system features, and third-party services such as Paddle. Those platforms and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
boringBar is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BORINGBAR LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to boringBar.
9. Changes to These Terms
BORINGBAR LLC may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted on this page, unless a later effective date is stated. Your continued use of boringBar after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
